KVKK Clarification Text (Law on the Protection of Personal Data)

As Prof. Dr. Osman Kelahmetoğlu, we attach utmost importance to the security and confidentiality of your personal data in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”). This text has been prepared to inform you about the purposes and methods of processing your personal data.

1. Data Controller

2. Personal Data Processed

• Identity Data: Name, surname, Turkish ID Number (TCKN)
• Contact Data: Phone, e-mail
• Health Data: Information necessary within the scope of provided medical services
• Appointment/Procedure Data
• Web Usage Data: IP address, date/time of visit, browser information, etc.

3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

• Receiving, planning, and managing your appointment requests
• Conducting medical diagnosis, treatment, and care processes
• Fulfilling our legal obligations and evaluating your requests/complaints
• Responding to your communication requests
• Improving website experience and security

4. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred, within the scope of Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and by taking necessary security measures, to authorized public institutions/organizations, hospitals and laboratories collaborating in the provision of health services, and to lawyers and financial advisors limited to legal obligations. Transfer abroad is only possible if the relevant legal conditions are met and, where necessary, your explicit consent is obtained.

5. Method of Collection and Legal Basis

Your personal data is collected through appointment/contact forms on our website, telephone and e-mail communication, and during examination and treatment processes. Processing relies on the legal grounds specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, including explicit provision in the laws, the establishment/performance of a contract, fulfillment of legal obligations, establishment/exercise/protection of a right, and where necessary, explicit consent.

6. Your Rights under the KVKK

In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is being processed,
• Request information if it has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used appropriately for its purpose,
• Know the third parties to whom it has been transferred domestically/abroad,
• Request correction if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
• Request its deletion or destruction within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the KVKK,
• Request notification of these operations to third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
• Object to the emergence of a result against you through analysis solely by automatic systems,
• Demand compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

7. Application Method

To exercise your rights, you can submit your request via written application or through the Contact page. Applications are concluded as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature.

8. Data Security

We take the necessary technical and administrative measures for the security of your personal data and provide protection against unauthorized access, loss, or unlawful processing and disclosure.
