Buttock Aesthetics for a Lifted and Full Appearance
The buttocks are one of the most striking areas in body aesthetics for women, significantly affecting the overall body image. The shape of the buttocks influences many aspects, from how clothes fit to the aesthetics of walking. An excessively overweight or flat buttocks can prevent a sporty and balanced look, whereas fuller, firmer, and lifted buttocks can make a person appear extremely fit, aesthetic, and attractive. For this reason, many women who are not satisfied with the appearance of their buttocks turn to buttock contouring procedures offered by aesthetic surgery.
Buttock contouring operations generally include buttock aesthetics, hip corrections, buttock lift, and buttock augmentation. These procedures are usually performed under general anesthesia. The goal is to harmonize the buttocks with body proportions and provide a younger and more attractive appearance.
Why is Buttock Contouring Preferred?
Situations such as disproportionate buttocks, excessively flat, or sagging shapes may cause aesthetic concerns. Especially due to aging or extreme weight fluctuations, deformities may develop, leading to sagging and loss of form in the buttock area. Buttock contouring surgeries are performed to correct such aesthetic problems.
Buttock aesthetics can also be chosen not only due to deformities but purely based on a person’s desire. Various techniques can be applied together with a personalized plan for individuals who want more defined, lifted, and rounded contours.
What are the Methods of Buttock Contouring?
Some common methods used in buttock contouring are:
- Liposuction: In patients with excess fat in the buttock or hip region, these excess fats are removed to achieve a firmer and more shaped appearance. At the same time, buttock reduction can also be achieved with this technique.
- Fat Injection (BBL): Fat taken from the patient’s own body is injected into areas where fullness is desired. This is preferred when the buttocks lack sufficient volume.
- Implant Application: For patients who do not have sufficient fat tissue or desire more noticeable results, silicone implants are placed to augment the buttocks.
- Buttock Lift: Especially in cases of sagging due to weight loss, excess skin and fat are removed, the tissue is reshaped, and lifted to the body.
Recovery Process After Buttock Aesthetics
After buttock aesthetics, the patient is usually kept under observation in the hospital for one night. To reduce possible swelling and edema after the procedure, the use of a special buttock corset for 3–4 weeks is recommended. Depending on the scope of the operation, mild to moderate pain may occur, which can be controlled with painkillers prescribed by the doctor.
The recovery process may vary from person to person, but it is necessary to avoid heavy physical activities in the first few days. Generally, the patient can return to daily life within a few weeks. However, it may take several months for the final results to become visible.
