Kelahmetoglu?
Born in Adana, Prof. Dr. Osman Kelahmetoglu graduated from Adana Erkek High School in 1999 and from Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. In the same year, he began his specialization training at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Medicine, in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
During his residency, to gain international experience, he served as a clinical fellow in "Aesthetic Surgery and Body Contouring" at the El Paso Cosmetic Surgery Center in Texas, USA. Additionally, he worked as a clinical observer on "Post-bariatric Body Contouring Surgery" at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
In 2015, he won the international scholarship of the Turkish Reconstructive Microsurgery Society and served as a clinical fellow in "Aesthetic-Reconstructive Breast Surgery and Perforator Flaps" at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. In 2016, he worked as a clinical fellow in "Reconstructive Breast Surgery" at Helsinki University in Finland, awarded the "Young Plastic Surgeons Scholarship" by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS).
After completing his specialization, he fulfilled his mandatory service as a plastic surgery specialist at Tarsus State Hospital between 2012 and 2014. Subsequently, he continued his academic studies as a faculty member at Bezmialem Vakıf University between December 2014 and November 2020, and at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic Surgery, between November 2020 and June 2022.
Accepting patients in his private clinic in Istanbul since June 2022, Prof. Dr. Kelahmetoglu continues his academic activities as of August 2024 at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
Prof. Dr. Osman Kelahmetoglu received the title of Associate Professor in 2018 and the title of Professor in 2024. Having more than 55 scientific articles published in international and national journals, Prof. Dr. Kelahmetoglu is married and the father of two children.
